Course Rationale 

WHY

The Korean has emerged as a strategic language in the U.S. since conflicts of two Koreas continued to plague international tensions and weaken international security as a whole world.

It is important to generate a high demand for Korean speakers who can contribute to improving this strategic relationship between Koreas and the US for international security.  This  Korean course offers vocabulary expansion skills for students who take for the Defense Language Proficiency Test(DLPT) that bridges these nations in their integrated language skills.

How to Get Started

1. Read the syllabus to find out lesson objectives, modules, assessment, learning activity and more.

2. Complete learning activities in each Module:  a news video, listening practice, a morpheme map, and translation, learning activity and more.

3. Visit the Discussion board to upload your thoughts about Korean vocabulary. Upload a picture along with its description in each module.

4. Challenge yourself by testing out learned vocabulary with Quizzes. After the completion of each module, visit Quiz to test your skill.
